GUSDE
Then on day, a friend of mind asked me to do the photo shoot of his wedding. I really enjoyed doing the photo shoot and I realized that I fell in love with wedding photography.
Marriage is a life time commitment that I think should happen only once. I am a photographer who is married with 2 kids. I know the feeling of being in a wedding. The happiness, the love, the laugh and the new beginning of another life.
This is why I love taking photos of weddings. To see people with smiles of happiness, tears of joy and the whole day just makes me happy. It’s not because of the job, but I am happy to be a part of the weddings.
I have never seen a sad wedding ever in my life. And it should not be. It should be the happiest day of our life.
So, what could I ask more? I do what I love and people love what I do for them. In the future, while looking at their wedding pictures I take and tell the story to their kids, they will remember me. That’s what makes me feel special as a wedding photographer.
Pre wedding in Bali | Rino & Grace by Gusde
GUSDE, PRE WEDDINGThe love story started when Rino gave Grace flowers when they went to a cinema. Since then, they share their love to each other until they feel that they can’t live apart from each other.
The proposal was kind of unique, it was Grace birthday, Rino lied to Grace that he said he couldn’t make it to the birthday party because he needed to take his parents abroad. But, Grace was surprised because Rino finally came with flowers and an engagement ring in the middle of the party. That must be the best birthday present ever.
Rino is a photographer who likes romantic, artistic and serious photos who is also one of Gusde Photography’s big fans. He chose Gusde Photography to shoot their pre-wedding because he said that we could give them what they need.
The pre-wedding photo shoot session was located in Bali. Actually, we planned to do the session in the East of Indonesia, but since Rino and Grace were very busy organizing their wedding, finally we decided to do it in Bali.
The photo shoot session was quite easy because Rino and Grace gave us full creativity to choose the location, theme and directing the pose. They were even willing to roll or lie on the ground for us to pose.
That was a great pre-wedding photo shoot session. Moreover, Rino and Grace were very satisfied with the result and even more than what they expected.
We’re glad and satisfied to see their happy smile.
“What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.”

Khayangan Estate wedding | Claudia Reley & Adam by Gusde
GUSDE, WEDDINGBali wedding | Mikiko & Yuta by Gusde
GUSDE, WEDDINGMikiko and Yuta is our first client from Japan. I was excited to do the wedding photo shoot because I was curious what kind of wedding theme were they having. Talking about Japan, I wonder, when I will have a client with traditional Japanese wedding in Japan. It would be interesting for me to do the wedding photo shoot.
Mikiko and Yuta’s wedding was very simple. It was held in a villa in Bali with simply unique decorations. There were four bride maids who were wearing white dresses with frangipani flower on their ears, made them look more beautiful.
The wedding was attended by family and close friends only. It made the moment so sacred. After Mikiko saying “I do”, everybody was smiling with happy tears rolling on their cheeks. The couple looks very happy. I am sure they were having the greatest time of their life.
After the wedding, the photo shooting continued until after sunset at the beach and took the sunset as a background. Even though we didn’t get clear sunset, but we took many great pictures.
Then, it was closed with a nice simply dinner at the garden.

Family portrait in Bali | Sugi`s Family by Gusde
FAMILY PORTRAIT, GUSDEDoing family photo shoot session is always fun, especially working with boys who are very fun and easy to work with, and also who are the same age of my sons. One of my great experiences is with Sugi’s Family.
Sugi’s family is an Indonesian family who has been living in Sydney, Australia, for almost 20 years. They came to Bali mainly to do a family photo shoot.
They were staying at Intercontinental Hotel, Jimbaran. Intercontinental Hotel is a 5 star hotel located close to Jimbaran Beach and surrounded with beautiful garden. We use the huge garden space as the first location for the family photo shoot then we moved to the beach.
The photo shooting session took only 4 hours. It was easy to direct this family. Some photos were directed but many of them were candid. We just let the boys played with the sand on the beach and let the parents watching. Then we took photos from that moment.
The boys looked happy and had fun with the photo shooting session because they can play at the same time. I saw their smile all the time.
What makes me happy to do photo shooting session for families is not only about the job, but also I can see myself with my family in them. So I always do my best to take the best photos.
