Clarissa & Andrew Weeding | Villa Semara Tamarama by Mario
MARIO JR, WEDDINGNovember is the season of rain in Indonesia. But, rain couldn’t stop any couple to tie their knot of love in a marriage.
What a lovely rainy day on November 16, 2013. Clarissa and Andrew began their life as husband and wife in Bali.
“Love doesn’t need to be perfect, it just needs to be true”. Indeed, their true love changed their life. Long time before meeting Andrew, Clarissa never thought about marriage. She didn’t even what to get married because she wanted to be a nun. Then, a friend of Andrew who was one of the best men introduced him to Clarissa. They fell in love. With love and sacrifice that Andrew has done for her, Clarissa finally changed her mind. She accepted Andrew to be her better half for the rest of her life.
Their wedding was taken place at Villa Tamarama, Semara Uluwatu. The weather was cloudy the whole day while the wedding was planned to be out door. We waited for the sun to come out of the cloud. The blessing was scheduled to be done at 4.30pm. But on that day, cloud took the rule. We were going to move the blessing inside the building until 10 minutes before 4.30, finally the sun shine illuminated the blessing. Everything happened as planned.
A beautiful wedding that attended by close family and friends became a beautiful memory of Andrew and Clarissa’s life. Tears of joy and smiles of happiness made the day even more memorable.

Bali wedding | Mikiko & Yuta by Gusde
GUSDE, WEDDINGMikiko and Yuta is our first client from Japan. I was excited to do the wedding photo shoot because I was curious what kind of wedding theme were they having. Talking about Japan, I wonder, when I will have a client with traditional Japanese wedding in Japan. It would be interesting for me to do the wedding photo shoot.
Mikiko and Yuta’s wedding was very simple. It was held in a villa in Bali with simply unique decorations. There were four bride maids who were wearing white dresses with frangipani flower on their ears, made them look more beautiful.
The wedding was attended by family and close friends only. It made the moment so sacred. After Mikiko saying “I do”, everybody was smiling with happy tears rolling on their cheeks. The couple looks very happy. I am sure they were having the greatest time of their life.
After the wedding, the photo shooting continued until after sunset at the beach and took the sunset as a background. Even though we didn’t get clear sunset, but we took many great pictures.
Then, it was closed with a nice simply dinner at the garden.

Family portrait in Bali | Sugi`s Family by Gusde
FAMILY PORTRAIT, GUSDEDoing family photo shoot session is always fun, especially working with boys who are very fun and easy to work with, and also who are the same age of my sons. One of my great experiences is with Sugi’s Family.
Sugi’s family is an Indonesian family who has been living in Sydney, Australia, for almost 20 years. They came to Bali mainly to do a family photo shoot.
They were staying at Intercontinental Hotel, Jimbaran. Intercontinental Hotel is a 5 star hotel located close to Jimbaran Beach and surrounded with beautiful garden. We use the huge garden space as the first location for the family photo shoot then we moved to the beach.
The photo shooting session took only 4 hours. It was easy to direct this family. Some photos were directed but many of them were candid. We just let the boys played with the sand on the beach and let the parents watching. Then we took photos from that moment.
The boys looked happy and had fun with the photo shooting session because they can play at the same time. I saw their smile all the time.
What makes me happy to do photo shooting session for families is not only about the job, but also I can see myself with my family in them. So I always do my best to take the best photos.
