One of the nicest things about being a wedding photographer is that we get to see multi-culture weddings. How strong can the power of love be that it makes two different persons from two very different cultures bond to become one.
This is what we experienced at the wedding of Michelle and Divya. Michelle is an Indonesian and Divya is an Indian. They first met 5 years ago at Shangr-ila Surabaya where Michelle at that time was working in sales whilst Divya was heading hotel operations.
Three words that Michelle would then use to describe Divya were – cool-as a cucumber, arrogant and stubborn. HA HA , but, that was then , eventually, there were a lot of different things that made Michelle fall in love with Divya. More than anything , that he is a very loving guy but more so that he is a giver, not a taker. All he has always wanted for michelle is to give her a better life and happiness.
18th of January 2014, was the day where they committed to bond their love into marriage. Michelle looked very beautiful in her wedding dress. Divya looked very excited and suave. Now I know why Michelle said that Divya is a giver besides being a very funny guy.
The wedding preparation was fun, everybody was excited. The vow’s was sacred. Everybody was in tears of joy. Divya and Michelle -ready to be the pilot and co-pilot of their new life’s adventure.
I love to see the happiness, the tears of joy and the love in a wedding. It’s priceless.
And in the end, The couple being happy. The family and friends happy. Everybody was happy, even the photographers he he
Wedding day is always a happy day!
