Stylist : Sasha Alexandra | Make up : Sutrisna putri
Many moons away, when I started learning about photography, there was this one commercial photographer that inspired many other photographers in Indonesia. So inspiring that I still remember him until now but I realise these recent years I haven’t heard much about him.
So on one fine day, I received whassap from a client enquiring about Nusa Penida pre-wedding photoshoot. He told me his name is Daniel and we talk about location, preparation including outfit which was organised by our stylist Sasha. Daniel then had a request to use his own camera for the photoshoot. I was like “that’s unusual” but of course being polite I then asked what type of camera as surely I didn’t want to disappoint my client nor sound like a snob one just ignoring his request. Daniel said “medium format”. Again I thought “wow, that’s unusual” but I knew this client must be a professional photographer. I didn’t immediately ask the question but I thought I would when I saw him on the pre wedding shooting day.
On the day of the shooting day, there it was, my curiosity was answered. Daniel is indeed this commercial photographer whom inspired others back in the days. Daniel Santaso is his complete name. Apparently Daniel moved to Vietnam years ago and continued his career there. And there in Vietnam he finally met his soulmate, Nga.
It was a privilege to take his pre wedding photo session.
Thinking back, sometimes we never know how we will end up meeting with someone who inspires us. Likewise we never know how we will meet up our soulmate, he/she can be just meters away or thousand miles away but he/she is for us, waiting just right there.
What’s not to love about Bali island? Its fresh air, amazing hospitality, and spectacular landscape including deep blue sea ocean view are ones not to be missed. Destination wedding is one of the best ways to enjoy an intimate celebration with your beloved ones. On the wonderful island of Bali, Michelle and Reyson began on their new journey as husband and wife with a wedding ceremony held in Tirtha Uluwatu, set on the Southern cliff top of Bali with sweeping views of the Indian Ocean. This lively couple met in Dubai, and decided to get married after the proposal done by Skype on their 1st anniversary.
Wedding celebration was all extraordinary and high-spirited, with all the bride maids looking beautiful with their up-dos and tropical dresses. Their wedding ceremony under the sunny afternoon light was so pretty with classy colors palette of white. The bride looked so beautifully with her white wedding dress and colorful bouquet and likewise the groom looked equally very charming that day.
Still in her lovely white dress sans the veil, the bride looked stunning beside the handsome groom when they did their grand entrance for the reception. Romantic, nonetheless. The colorful decorations and joyful atmosphere, bright colors like orange and yellow were incorporated into the decorations and table settings. Wedding reception took place at the Glass House. This venue is not only about unique architecture and dreamlike garden concept but also has magical ethereal play of light and colors that organically flow together with its surrounding. In the middle of the reception someone stood up giving a speech and sang a song, a familiar voice and familiar song, surprisingly there was Jose Mari Chan. Nothing could beat the intimacy of that moment. The speeches started with a little serenade and continued with much laughter and few happy tears too. The dance was wrapped up with the most-awaited first dance of the bride and groom. Everyone was left in awe.
