ULUWATU SURF VILLA | ELOPEMENT WEDDING CLAIRE & JAMES BY MARIO JR

MARIO JR, WEDDING

“elopement is often used to refer to a marriage conducted in sudden and secretive fashion, usually involving a hurried flight away from one’s place of residence together with one’s beloved with the intention of getting married.” – Wikipedia

This is my first time to shoot this kind of wedding.
I was confused at first, there’s no guests, no parents and relatives but after 10 minutes, i decided that i do love this kind of wedding. They are 100% mine *evil laugh

James and Claire came to Bali for their intimate wedding.
They prepare all of the stuff themselves without wedding organizer. And they chose a really beautiful villa.

We start with the preparation as usual, and after that we’re heading out to the beach. They had a simple but intimate ceremony.
James and Claire said their vows for each other, they excange rings, and closed it with a wedding kiss.
No celebrant needed.

We really had fun on the beach.
Running along the waves, they whisper love words under the cliff. And of course a lovely sunset to close the day.
We really enjoyed the day and i hope you have a nice day too.

HELP PORTRAIT 2016 | MARIA GORETTI ORPHANAGE PALASARI

ADIWARNA, CHARITY, GUSDE, MARIO JR

We Care We Share

Help Portraits – December 2016

As part of our commitment to care with environment and humanity, earlier this December we joined forces with some of our colleagues in the wedding industry to share happiness and joy to Maria Goretti Orphanage Palasari in Negara, Bali.

Help-Portrait is a global movement of photographers, hairstylists and makeup artists using their time, tools and expertise to give back to those in need. Rightly so, this global movement has given so much meaningful experience to these children we met at the orphanage. Their laughter, excitements, joys, curiosity, and enthusiasm had touched our hearts deeply.

For those who are familiar with Bali, yes, Negara regency is a 3.5 hours driving distance from where majority of us live. Nonetheless distance was conquered by our drive to support diversity and unity too. In Palasari, there’s such a diverse community however they live harmoniously.

If anyone said these children were lucky to have such a support from us, we would say we were even luckier that they have taught us that happiness is worth sharing and that they have encouraged us to do even more moving forward. Thank you Maria Goretti Orphanage and thank you kids!

Gusde Photography would like to thank our colleagues who helped making this meaningful activity a success The Light Motion, Fineclick, Avavi Bali, Putri Bali Make Up, and Ziphora Make Up ;

Let’s keep caring and sharing.

TOKYO | ALDINA PHOTO STORY BY MARIO JR

FAMILY PORTRAIT, MARIO JR

Aldina is the cousin of my dear ‘crazy’ client Metha and Anton.
Aldina who reside in Japan, will be married in Bali next year and I certainly will be their photographer.
During our trip to Japan a week ago, I asked her to be our guide and do some street photography.
Basically I love Japan! To my eyes, every corner seems photogenic, so we take a stroll to several nice places and spontaneously stop to take pictures when I see a good spot and lighting.
Well, here’s the result.. Enjoy!

TOKYO – JAPAN | WILLIAM & DEVI FAMILY BY MARIO JR

FAMILY PORTRAIT, MARIO JR

From the eyes of a dear friend…

I’ve known William for a long time; we’ve both grown up in wedding photography industry. William then decide to steer his career to family portrait photography; new born, maternity and happy family portraits. As always, he succeeds and I am a proud friend.

It was autumn in Japan, such a lovely weather, perfect setting, and amazing ambience. William and Devi, his dear wife and son Max coincidently went to Japan the same time I was there. I was genuinely touched when he asked me to take his family portrait. It was somewhat nerve wrecking. What if he didn’t like my photos? William is such a master in this field, I was worried.

But then I thought to myself, reflected back, I am his friend, I like this family so much, I would just see it from my own eyes, how happy I felt seeing this lovely family. And so I did, I let it flew naturally. I was there, not directing, but talking and chatting to friends whom I know for long. I believe my eyes transfer those feelings to my lens.

Here are the results, genuinely from the heart.
