It was a relaxed day, my rare day off when I decided to clean up some files on my MacBook. By coincidence I found Thiery and Andien wedding photos folder. My memory flashed back to the day where their wedding was held in Swiss back in 2013. I was their photographer, having the privilege to travel miles away to capture their very special moment. Such a great journey, not only Swiss, we also traveled to France and Italy.

My fingers instantly followed my feeling to open the folder where one by one of that important moment sliding through, suddenly I wanted to contact them. I went through their Facebook page and saw they have a cute baby boy. My god, how time flies and I miss them. Without further due, I messaged them and told them how much I wanted to see them especially their baby boy. I instantly offered them to make family portrait, a reunion which they can bring back home and timeless.

So there it went, we set up the plan together with their makeup artist of their wedding too. Such a great reunion it turned out.

I was delighted to capture their family portrait, how happy they played with their son. Family is essential. Personally I like capturing my family activities as those moments are irreplaceable and photos make them timeless. And I know Thiery and Andien are not the type of persons who bring camera everywhere, so I gladly do it for them. It’s apparently their first family photos too, it makes me even happier that I could give these to them.

Time can’t be turned back, moments can’t be repeated but they can be memorized vividly in photos. I am the happiest friend to be able to give these memories to them.

Japan Prewedding | Edwin & Suci By Adiwarna

ADIWARNA, OVERSEAS, PRE WEDDING

Both of the couple are love travelling. Edwin and Suci decided to visit two big cities in Japan, Tokyo and Kyoto were chosen as the backdrop for the photoshoots. We goes to the iconic sights of Arashiyama Bamboo grove and Fushimi Inari-Taisha in Kyoto.

Walking into the extensive bamboo grove is like entering another world, the thick green bamboo stalks seem to continue endlessly in every direction and there’s a strange quality to the light. You’ll be unable to resist trying to take a few photos here. The couple took some beautiful photoshoot there, this place it’s one of the most photographed sights in the city. Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head shrine of Inari, located in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, Japan. It’s hard to describe, we can take many great pictures in the hundreds red gates without any other person disturbing. Can enjoy the quietness and magical athmosphere as long as we want.

We also went to Hitachi Seaside Park, there was absolutely stunning. The Kochia bushes were crimson red and plump. We do some casual-romantic photoshoot here, this park is so awesome. Far away from Kyoto, we also do some photoshoot at the capital of Japan, Tokyo. We visited Shibuya, one of Tokyo’s most colorful and busy district. The couple’s took photoshoot between a beautifully messy or messily beautiful. But it’s amazing to see all the crowd walking in different directions.

Menjangan Resort | Metha & Anton pre wedding by Mario Jr

MARIO JR, PRE WEDDING

I believe in something called first impression.

In my first meeting with Metha and Anton, we instantly clicked, and i thought to myself, this is my kind of couple.

Metha is a dentist (she took out 2 of my teeth last month) while Anton is a diving addict.
To shoot them was effortless, they said “just shoot whatever you want to”, so we went to Menjangan to do the photo session since Anton have a hidden agenda. He want to dive there to hunt something called Mandarin fish. Apparently the fish did not want to see him there. They finally meet at Manado three months later 🙂

Their photo session feels more like holiday than work. I’m grateful the couple was happy. Now i can’t wait to shoot their wedding day on May

Mark & Peige wedding at Amanusa by Gusde

Mark and Paige first met during studying at university. They were classmate and thereafter have been together for eight years. The journey of forming a family together came naturally. Mark didn’t do any of those hype surprises or dramatic proposals. It was simple and genuine that he asked for that one important question in life, and Paige was without a second thought saying ‘I do’. As with their uncomplicated proposal, the decision to choose Bali was just instant and straightforward. The only thing that matter the most was to have a very intimate outdoor wedding ceremony. Their choice fell onto Amanusa when they first saw this resort.

The word Aman means ‘peace, security, safety, shelter’ in Sanskrit. This definition definitely exudes from the resort ambience. Amanusa; not only it is peaceful and serene; the view is just breathtaking with the turquoise water of the Indian ocean. This luxury resort has a sophisticated traditional design of Balinese decorations and sense of being in a Tropical Island. To describe Aman was like describing the couple, I suppose this is why they are meant for each other, Mark and Paige fell instantly for Aman when they first saw it. Yanti from Sangkakala Event Organizer is believes that a wedding planner is needed to assist every couple and make sure that everything goes well. Sangkakala Organizer has successfully made today’s couple dreams come true with an amazing planning.

Labuan Bajo Pre Wedding | Adhi & Dana by Gusde

GUSDE, PRE WEDDING

Many people just knows about Komodo Island but they don’t know that Komodo Island located in Labuan Bajo.

Labuan Bajo is a fishing town located at the western end of Flores in The Nusa Tenggara region of east Indonesia. The town is quite small but easy to find accommodation and transportation.

I’ve been there almost five times. I can feel the natural beauty of Indonesia, it was amazing. Labuan Bajo is very stunning, they have so many beautiful places to explore, not only Komodo Island. They also have Padar Island, Manta Point, Pink Beach, Gili Lawa, and Kalong Island for examples.

Not every couple want to go to Labuan Bajo for pre-wedding session, but in Dana and Adhi case is different. When i explain about how beautiful Labuan Bajo to them and i told them “just think it’s traveling” they think for a minutes until decide to say “yes, we want”

Enjoying the blue ocean use a boat, eating on the boat, sleeping on the boat and explore the island use the boat. Looked the night sky, i never saw the sky full of stars like this before.

This journey to Labuan Bajo was one of a great experience.
